(I would've gotten this is sooner, but I wasn't able to access Blogger for some reason.)

This week is tobyMac week on iTunes. It has listed his favorite movies (which include Finding Nemo, The Lord of the Rings, etc.) and his favorite music. I'm skeptical that iTunes actually asks the artist those questions. And this is NOT just from looking at tobyMac's faves. (I highly, HIGHLY doubt he likes Taylor Swift.) They just do it to get more money, in my opinion. Am I right or wrong?

To add on to this, Tonight Deluxe Edition has peaked at number 2 on iTunes! Congratulations!

I pulled out of my hat this week Miranda Lambert.

Miranda Leigh Lambert (born November 10, 1983)[2] is an American country music artist who gained fame as a finalist on the 2003 season of Nashville Star, where she finished in third place and later signed to Epic Records. Lambert made her debut with the release of "Me and Charlie Talking", the first single from her 2005 debut album Kerosene. This album, which was certified Platinum in the United States, also produced the singles "Bring Me Down", "Kerosene", and "New Strings". All four singles were Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.

After the closure of Epic's Nashville division, Lambert was transferred to Columbia Records Nashville for her second album, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which was released in early 2007. Although the title track failed to make top 40, the next three singles ("Famous in a Small Town", "Gunpowder & Lead", and "More Like Her") were all Top 20 hits, with "Gunpowder & Lead" becoming her first Top 10 country hit in July 2008.

Lambert is only the third female country singer in history to have three records debut at #1 on Billboard Country Albums.

I don't think it was horrible. It wasn't the best though. Her vocals sound like they've always been lately. I'm really looking forward to another song, or for her music to be like they were in the old days. I have to rate it 3 and a Half out of 5.

They Got It All Wrong At The Grammys!

Well, my favorite awards show was on last night (The Grammys). Of course, I watched it. And boy, they got it ALL WRONG! Let's start off with general.

Record Of The Year went to "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon. "Halo" by Beyonce should've won.
Taylor Swift has not deserved ANY rewards or nominations she has received throughout her career, be it a CMA Award or much less a Grammy. She ended up stealing Album of the Year away from Beyonce and "I Am...Sasha Fierce.
Thankfully, Beyonce won Song of the Year with "Single Ladies". It's not my fave Beyonce song but it's certainly better than any of the other nominees. (To be honest, I thought "Poker Face" was going to win.)
I'm glad Zac Brown Band won Best New Artist.

Pop (This Should Be Interesting)

Thank God "Halo" (my fave Beyonce song and one of my all-time faves) won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Certainly much better than "You Belong With Me".
I don't really care for any male pop vocalists, but I hoped Stevie Wonder would win. Of course he lost to Jason Mraz.
I figured the Black Eyed Peas would win this one (and they did). I wasn't really routin' for any of them though.
The best vocalist of all them is probably Colbie Caillat, and I hate Taylor Swift, (yes, I hate Jason M. too, but he's better than Taylor) so I hoped "Lucky" would win, and it did.
(Skipping intrumental). I figured The E.N.D. would win, which they did. Although I'm not a gigantic Kelly Clarkson fan, I was hoping she'd win.

Dance

I knew Lady Gaga would win "Best Dance Recording" with Poker Face and Best Electronic/Dance Album with "The Fame. I didn't really know who to cheer for, since I barely listen to the genre, but I don't really like Lady Gaga that much.

Rock

I don't really like rock, so I don't really have opinions. Bruce Springspreen won Best Rock Solo Vocal Performance, Kings of Leon won Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance by a Duo/Group w/ vocals, AC/DC won Best Hard Rock Performance, Judas Priest won Best Metal Performance, and Jeff Beck won Best Rock Instrumental Performance (I was cheering for Brad Paisley). Green Day won Best Rock Album.

R&B (My Third Favorite)

Beyonce won Best Female R&B Vocal Performance with Single Ladies. :D!!! Yay!!!
Maxwell won Best Male R&B Vocal Performance with Pretty Wings. :)
"Blame It" won Best R&B Performnce by a duo/group with vocals.
"At Last" By Beyonce won Best Traditional R&B Performance. I think that was a good choice.
India.Arie won this one. I wasn't too sure who I wanted to win Best Urban/Alternative Performance.
"Single Ladies" by Beyonce won Best R&B Song. Now put your hands up!!!
Best R&B Album was given to Maxwell. Not a bad choice.
Thankfully "I Am...Sasha Fierce" took Best Contemporary R&B Album. I was so happy by then I was jumping up and down on my couch. (Of course my friends who I invited over were doing it with me.)

Country (My Favorite)

Of course, they had to go and ruin the ride by giving Best Female Country Vocal Performance to "White Horse" by Taylor Swift. "Just A Dream" [by Carrie Underwood] is SO much better! And Taylor Swift isn't even country! I am so mad!
Keith Urban won Best Male Country Vocal Performance with "Sweet Thing". I think that was a good choice.
I've been voting for Lady Antebellum to win all these different awards, and I never even listened to them. When I did, I was surprised at how good they were! I'm glad "I Run To You" took Best Country Performance by a Duo/Group With Vocals.
If I Told You So (Carrie & Randy Travis) didn't win Best Country Collaboration of Vocals, you don't wanna know what I would've done! But thankfully they did, so I was temporarily relieved.
"Producer's Medley" by Steve Wariner won Best Country Intrumental Performance. I liked all of the nominees, so it didn't really matter to me who won.
When they announced Taylor Swift won Best Country Song [with White Horse] and Best Country Album [with Fearless], I literally threw up and hit the TV screen. What were they thinking!!! I Run To You should've got Best Country Song, and Defying Gravity should've won Best Country Album.

Gospel (My Second Favorite)

Before I start commenting on the individual awards, let me just say they don't really consider the best or most popular/fan's favorite. They don't really care who wins these awards.

When I heard "Free To Be Me" by Francesca Battistelli was up for Best Gospel Performance, I knew it would win. But it lost to Wait On the Lord by Donnie McClurkin?! I never even heard of the song or the artist before they announced the nominees. And I know all the contemporary Christian/Gospel artists and songs out there. "Free To Be Me" or Born Again" by Third Day should've won.
Again, the nominating comittee doesn't really care about this genre, because if they had, "City On Our Knees" by tobyMac would've won Best Gospel Snog, not "God In Me" by Mary Mary.
This is the only one they got right in the genre. Live Revelations by Third Day took Best Rock or Rap Gospel album.
Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album went to Israel Houghton with "The Power Of One". "Speaking Louder Than Before" by Jeremy Camp is so much better!

I couldn't watch any more after that, I was so disgusted.

There were some genres I didn't watch, so I didn't comment on them. Well, what do you think? Am I right or totally crazy? Please comment.

Demi Lovato rocks out in her new "Remember December" music video, while Miss Gomez stays herself in her recent "Naturally" video. Carrie's releasing "Temporary Home" as her next single, while Nick Jonas actually thinks he can go solo. Mariah Carey has released a video for H.A.T.E.U., and I finally got the scoop on tobyMac's upcoming album, Tonight, which will be released in February. Country princess Taylor Swift releases a platinum edition of her Fearless album while trying on different hairstyles. (Hehehe). The premiere of Sing Off took place on Monday, and I don't think I'm missing anything I'm interested in. :)

I've been waiting for literally years for today, the day when Carrie's new album would be available in stores. I was waiting outside the doors of the store and was one of the person to buy this album. Here are my ratings and thoughts on it:

Cowboy Casanova -- 4.5/5; A good way to start off the album. It has a very nice beat and feel to it. It's a pure country song, but consider that Carrie is a role model for the "younger generation", some of the lyrics I feel would not be appropriate for them, but I personally loved it.
Quitter -- 4/5; I didn't exactly love the beginning of the song, but a couple more seconds into it and then I loved it. Has a very light-hearted beat to it. I didn't expect this from her, but it was a good decision.
Mama's Song -- 5/5; A wonderful song with powerful meaning. A song for moms everywhere.
Change -- 5/5; This song also has a great meaning. Her voice sounds so (what word am I looking for?) encouraging in this song. I hope this song is her next single.
Undo It -- 5/5; Wow, I'm generous today. But this is a wonderful album. I like this song because it is, like Cowboy Casanova, a true country song. It reminds me of Flat On The Floor from her sophomore album (which was one of my favorite songs).
Someday When I Stop Loving You -- 3.5/5 Something about this song I just didn't like. Also the fact that it went a little too slow for me.
Songs Like This -- 4.9/5 A very fun song. A very fast beat, the vocals were good, clever lyrics. I liked it a lot, probably one of my favorites from the album.
Temporary Home -- 5/5 This song brought tears to my eyes. Very touching, and there are a lot of kids, teens, and people who can relate to this.
This Time -- 4/5 A great beat, fun & loving lyrics.
Look At Me -- 4/5; A very sweet and loving song. Very precious vocals, and I think it fitted it well.
Unapologize -- 4/5; I like this one a lot. I love how she sings the chorus, and her vocals are strong.
What Can I Say -- 3.9/5; A nice duet with Sons of Sylvia. But there were a couple parts I felt could've been better.
Play On -- 4.5/5; A very touching and inspiring song.

Overall, I'd rate it 4.75/5. I definately recommend buying this album. The must-listens are Undo It, Change, Mama's Song, and Temporary Home.

OMG! Joe Jonas & Demi Lovato Sleepover!

It seems like Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato have some explaining to do! The two spent the night together at Demi’s Toluca Lake CA house but they were not alone… Demi’s dad was there to make sure they could both still wear purity rings the next morning!
A limo was waiting for Joe when he left Demi’s house at around 2 pm. Demi and her dad left a few minutes after and they drove to the Center Staging Studio in Burbank. Joe and Demi have denied a romantic link but they have been frequently spotted together lately. They would make a cute couple, wouldn't they?
